Samantha Rockliff

Sam has worked in financial PR, corporate communications and marketing for over 15 years in both Sydney and London.

Starting her career as a corporate lawyer in Brisbane, she brings strong experience in issues and crisis management as well as corporate reputation and project management.

Sam has been responsible for developing and managing the external and internal communications strategies for a range of financial brands including a focus on both institutional and retail wealth management markets. She bring proven strong business to business (B2B) as well as B2B to consumer capabilities. Sam joined Honner from AMP where she spent a decade leading significant customer experience and marketing projects across multiple channels. During this time she oversaw the launch of Marketing HQ, AMP’s internal marketing platform for its then 2,500+ financial adviser network; project managed the launch of AMP’s ‘Spark’ logo; and was senior media manager for AMP’s financial services business.

Sam holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Bachelor of Business/ Marketing & Accounting (Honours) from Queensland University of Technology, as well as a Diploma in PR (Distinction) from the London School of Public Relations.

In her spare time Sam enjoys shopping at food markets, cooking and going on walks with her family and their dog. Sam is also a fellow unpaid Uber driver on weekends, running her four kids around to their various activities!

Judith Bence

Judith is Chief Operating Officer, Senior Consultant, with responsibility for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Agency as well as providing senior counsel to Honner clients.

Judith has more than 20 years of experience advising multi-national companies across a range of financial services, corporate and technology sectors across the Asia Pacific region.

Prior to joining Honner, she held senior roles at global PR agencies where she led teams responsible for key clients in Australia, Hong Kong and Singapore. Judith has devised and implemented successful brand building, thought leadership, stakeholder relations, change communications, and issues and crisis management programs for a broad range of clients.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Australian National University and a Master of Commerce degree from the University of NSW.

In her spare time, she enjoys bushwalking, watching sport and hanging out with family and friends.

Harrison Worley

Harrison joined Honner in 2021 and brings more than three years’ experience working as a financial communications specialist.

He works across a range of Honner clients including Janus Henderson, MyState Bank, BetaShares and NAB, providing account management, media relations and writing support. 

Harrison joined Honner from another financial PR agency where he was responsible for managing the day-to-day PR programs for clients including asset managers, financial planning groups, superannuation funds, non-bank lenders and regional banks. 

Prior to entering the PR world, he spent more than two years working with industry publisher Rainmaker, working as a journalist on Financial Standard magazine as well as the Associate Editor for sister superannuation journal FS Super. During this time Harrison lead both title’s coverage of Australia’s evolving superannuation sector as well as contributing articles across the wider wealth management industry including Australia’s historic Royal Commission into Misconduct in the Banking, Superannuation and Financial Services Industry.

Harrison has a Bachelor of Media (PR & Advertising) from the University of NSW.

Connie Short

Connie is a Senior Account Executive, supporting a range of Honner’s financial and corporate services clients including Janus Henderson Investors, Aviva Investors, BetaShares, Forager Funds Management and Gordon Brothers.

Connie graduated in 2020 with a Bachelor of Business (Public Relations Major), and a Bachelor of Media and Communications from Queensland University of Technology.

Hailing from Brisbane, Connie brings a range of communications experience within corporate, real estate, tourism and non-profit portfolios, including supporting the strategic internal and external communications campaigns of ASX100 company, Domino’s Pizza. She has also interned at a range of leading Brisbane PR agencies including Honner’s fellow PROI member agency, P4 Group, as well as an in-house marketing role for a residential college within the University of Queensland.

Outside of office hours, Connie enjoys exploring Sydney’s hidden food gems and beaches as well as barracking for the mighty Geelong Cats.

Barry Rafe BSc. MRes. FIAA. FAICD

Barry joined the Honner board as Non-Executive Director in 2021.

A long-time associate of Honner, Barry brings more than 30 years’ experience working across Australia’s financial services industry. As NED Barry works with Honner’s senior management team to provide guidance and management insight, supporting the ongoing growth and evolution of the firm. 

Barry is a financial services professional with experience as a director, CEO and consultant to significant financial services firms and superannuation funds. He advises organisations and their boards on practices to enhance performance.

Barry presents courses on board governance, finance and strategy for the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He is a Fellow of the Actuaries Institute and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. 

Rafe Consulting was established in 2010 specifically to help individuals and organisations answer Socrates’ questions “What ought one to do”.

Barry has served on several for-profit and not-for-profit boards as well as several advisory boards. Most recently, Barry was President and Chair of the Actuaries Institute and was on the board of Greenpeace Asia Pacific.  

Barry has held senior consulting positions as a strategy partner at Accenture and head of the financial services practice at Trowbridge Consulting. He was a senior manager with AMP and the CEO of Mellon Bank’s Australian operations. In his consulting roles he has advised many of Australia’s largest financial services businesses on distribution and product development and governance.

Craig Morris

Craig is Honner’s Head of Marketing Solutions.

His role at Honner further extends the range of capabilities for clients to include strategic marketing services such as customer insights and customer experience programs, lead generation programs, sales enablement support and branding. He also works with clients to create integrated marketing and communications programs.

Craig brings more than 20 years’ experience working in the financial services space, with strong expertise in the global wealth and asset management sector across Australia, China, Korea, Japan and New Zealand along with exposure to North America, UK and European markets.

A strategic thinker, Craig possesses the creativity required to build a brand with emotional resonance, but also knows how to utilise the marketing team as a revenue generation machine.

Prior to joining Honner, Craig held the dual roles of Head of Marketing Asia Pacific and Global Head of Customer Experience at Russell Investments. Craig also worked in a range of marketing and product management roles in both Sydney and London, gaining experience with names such as St George Bank, Advance Asset Management and Prudential Assurance.

Craig recently completed a Customer Experience Certificate program from Rutgers University (USA). He also holds a B.Bus (Major in Marketing) from Charles Sturt University, a Management Development Diploma from Mt Eliza Business School and Diploma from the Securities Institute of Australia (now known as FINSIA).

In his spare time – he is an uber driver for his three sons as they compete in multiple football and futsal matches across Sydney.

Priya Karyekar

Priya joined Honner in 2014 and works with the management team and external accountants to oversee the financial accounts and reporting for the business, as well as providing support on office management.

Priya has a Bachelor of Commerce from Mumbai University, India, and is a qualified Australian CPA. Following her early accounting training with Ernst & Young in India, Priya migrated to Australia in 2003. She brings more than 15 years’ experience working in a range of accounting roles for organisations both large and small.

Jacqui Coleman

Jacqui Coleman is an Account Manager providing support across a range of Honner’s corporate and financial clients.

Jacqui joined Honner in early 2019 and has quickly become a key team member supporting clients including Bell Direct, Chi-X, Cromwell, Franklin Templeton, Nuveen and Principal Global Investors. Here’s she’s responsible for contributing to strategy development, media relations work, delivering content for social programs, project management and day to day client liaison.

Jacqui graduated from Queensland University of Technology (QUT) in Brisbane with a Bachelor of Business majoring in Public Relations and Economics. While studying, she gained industry experience by participating in four PR and media internships across various industries, which was defining in her choice to pursue a career in financial PR.

With interests in live music and quirky café’s, she enjoys all that Sydney has to offer in these two areas. In her spare time, you can find her at a gym class, participating in some form of outdoor activity or researching her next travel destination.

Rashmi Punjabi

Rashmi is an Account Director with eight years’ experience in public relations, investor relations and equity research.

Rashmi plays a key role in client account teams – building integrated strategic programs and working closely with clients to deliver highly proactive media relations, content and social programs. She brings specific experience in the financial advice and global asset management space, as well as leading Honner’s work in the growing cryptocurrency and digital assets sector. Key clients include Colonial First State, Janus Henderson Investors, The Financial Planning Association of Australia, BetaShares and cryptocurrency and bitcoin exchange BTC Markets. She has also led Honner’s pro-bono work with SuperFriend for the past several years.

Prior to joining Honner in 2016, Rashmi worked at Adfactors PR – India’s largest and multi-award winning independent PR agency – and a key global agency partner of Honner. At Adfactors Rashmi worked in the Investor Relations team handling listed and unlisted clients across various sectors.

Rashmi has hands on experience in managing a range of financial communications projects such as IPO listings, open offers, earnings announcements and has keen interest in helping organisations communicate more effectively with their stakeholders.

Rashmi holds a Masters in Economics degree from The University of Warwick, UK with specialisation in Global Finance and Derivative Securities and Markets. She is a Council Member of the Public Relations Institute of Australia, working closely with the PRIA NSW President in developing a brand-new ‘Young Leaders Program’ to nurture young leadership within Australia’s PR industry through bespoke training events.

In her spare time, she loves to try cooking different cuisines, traveling and reading fiction and non-fiction.

Rebecca Thurlow

Rebecca Thurlow has more than 20 years’ experience writing and editing for major international and national publications including the Wall Street Journal and Dow Jones Newswires.

During that time, Rebecca has focused on corporate, markets and economic news. In particular, she’s produced in-depth coverage of the financial services sector, from property investment and funds management, to major banks, insurers and investment banking.

At the Wall Street Journal, Rebecca covered some of the biggest takeovers in Australia’s financial sector, charted coverage of the industry through the global financial crisis and contributed to several analytical columns including Heard on the Street. Rebecca has also worked at Australian Associated Press and The Sun-Herald, and holds a Bachelor of Arts (Communications Studies) from the University of Newcastle.

For Honner, Rebecca produces a wide range of content, from blogs, web copy and social media to research documents, speeches and white papers.

Just as comfortable writing retail-focused feature articles as she is producing detailed explanations of complex financial products, Rebecca has the skills to deliver your message to your target audience across a variety of platforms in a clear, accurate and compelling style.

In her spare time, Rebecca can be found running on bush tracks and swimming in the ocean. She also loves curling up with a good novel.
